Sizing, care and questions — everything in one place. If it isn’t here, write to us and a person answers.
Find your size
Le’Shem runs fitted — it’s cut to sit close under a shirt without bunching. If you’re between two sizes, take the larger one.
The chest figures below are the garment measured all the way around. The quickest way to choose: take a shirt that already fits you the way you like, lay it flat, measure across the chest an inch below the armhole, double it, and match that number.
| Size | Chest |
|---|---|
| Boys Medium | 32″ |
| Boys Large | 35″ |
| S | 37″ |
| M | 40″ |
| L | 43″ |
| XL | 46″ |
| 2XL | 50″ |
Chest is the full measurement around the garment, rounded down to the nearest inch. Body length runs 26″ on a Small to 28″ on a 2XL, and the V drops 8″ from the shoulder on a Medium.
Still not sure? Send us your chest measurement and usual shirt size and we’ll tell you which to order.
Washing & care
How to wash tzitzit without ruining them.
- Find the Washalè that came with your pair.
- Gather all four corners and fold the strings in half.
- Fold them in half again.
- Place the Washalè around the strings and tighten it.
- Wash with cold water.
- Remove the Washalè and hang dry only.
Heads up: tzitzit knots can loosen in the wash. Tighten them while the strings are still damp, before hanging to dry.
Questions
What’s the difference between the Tee, the Tank and the Youth?
The Tee is a short-sleeve V-neck — the everyday one, and the one most people start with. The Tank is the same garment without sleeves, which makes it the coolest option in summer and the most invisible under a shirt. The Youth is the Tank scaled down for boys, in white, in Boys Medium and Boys Large.
Do you carry both Sefardic and Ashkenaz?
Yes — every product is made in both, in every size and color we carry. You choose Sefardic or Ashkenaz when you add the item to your cart.
Which size should I order?
Use the chart above. Because it runs fitted, size up if you’re between two — and if you’d rather not guess, email us your chest measurement and usual shirt size.
Can I wear it under a dress shirt?
That’s exactly what it’s cut for. The V sits low enough that nothing shows at an open collar, and the slim body doesn’t bunch at the waist the way a boxy tzitzit does.
What if a string tears?
A torn or missing string is a halachic question, not a customer service one — ask your rav what your situation requires. If a garment reaches you with a string already damaged, write to us and we’ll replace it.
How does shipping work?
Everything ships from Brooklyn. Shipping is calculated at checkout from your address, so you see the exact rate before you pay rather than a flat fee that over- or undercharges you.
Can I return or exchange it?
Yes. If it’s unworn, send it back for a full refund — you cover the return shipping. For an exchange, write to us and we’ll sort out the size.
Do you sell wholesale, or with a logo?
Both, from 48 pieces up. Stores and retailers, schools, yeshivos and camps with your logo on the garment, or weddings and simchas with initials, a logo or the date. Write to sales@LeshemTzitzit.com, or call or text 917-818-0023 or 646-493-7887.
